Camouflage patterns bring an adventurous, active feel to any artwork, making them a fun and dynamic choice for coloring!
In this tutorial, we’ll guide you through 3 simple steps to create a greenery camo pattern for a wild, energetic vibe using Ohuhu markers. The page we’re coloring today comes from the Girl Spaces, a Southern Lotus Coloring Book featuring hand-drawn cozy spaces for girls who love creative expression.
- Ohuhu Markers (G080, GY5, G270, G300, E430)
- A coloring page featuring an object you want to color with camo patterns (from Girl Spaces Coloring Book)
Step 1: Base Layer with E160
Start by filling the entire area with G080. This will serve as the foundation for your camo pattern, ensuring a consistent tone throughout.
Step 2: Add Shadows
Use GY5 to add shadows at the right edge (or left - based on your light direction chosen) of the object. Lightly blend it into the base layer to create a subtle depth effect.
Step 3: Organic Camo Shapes
Take G270, G300, and E430 and start drawing random organic shapes across the area. The key to a great camo pattern is randomness – don’t worry about making perfect shapes! Just layer the colors naturally, letting them overlap to mimic a classic camo texture.
Your greenery camouflage pattern is now complete!
The mix of greens and browns gives a bold, natural look that fits perfectly with an outdoorsy, adventurous aesthetic.
