Spring is the perfect time to explore floral patterns with bright and refreshing colors!
In this tutorial, we’ll guide you through six simple steps to create a cute spring-inspired floral pattern using Ohuhu markers. The coloring page featured today is from the Little Fuzzy, by Southern Lotus Coloring Book which includes adorable scenes of fuzzy friends in their daily activities.
- Ohuhu Markers (G320, G340)
- Dark Mint Pencil
- White acrylic pen
- A coloring page featuring a spring scene (from Little Fuzzy Cute & Easy Coloring Book)
Step 1: Base Layer
Start by filling the entire pattern background with G320. This creates a soft and even base for your floral design.
Step 2: Create Flower Petals
Using G340, form the flower petals by dotting five oval-shaped dots. This technique gives the petals a soft, rounded look, perfect for a spring vibe.
Step 3: Add Leaves
With G320, draw random leaves around the flowers to enhance the pattern's flow and create a balanced design.
Step 4: Outline the Petals
Use a dark mint pencil to outline the flower petals gently. This step adds definition and depth, making the flowers stand out beautifully.
Step 5: Add Dots and Highlights
Enhance the design by adding random dots with G340 as some smaller flowers and use a white acrylic pen to create delicate highlights for a fresh, glowing effect.
Your spring-inspired floral pattern is now complete!
Floral patterns bring a sense of freshness, relaxation, and creativity. They are perfect for experimenting with soft textures, pattern designs, and layering techniques.
