Today, we’ll be coloring a retro flower pattern using a page from the Cottage Vibes Coloring Book by Southern Lotus Coloring. Follow along to create your own vibrant, vintage-inspired design with Ohuhu Markers!
- Ohuhu Markers (Y010, Y1, BR2, GY3)
- A Pencil (for grid lines)
- A White Acrylic Pen (optional for highlights)
- A coloring page from Cottage Vibes Coloring Book by Southern Lotus
Step 1: Create the Base Layer
Start by using Y010 to fill the entire background. This will provide a warm, vintage look to complement your flower design.
Step 2: Draw the Flowers
Using a pencil, lightly draw a grid to help evenly space your flowers. Then, take the Y1 marker and carefully draw the flower petals along the grid. Keeping the flowers evenly spaced will create a neatly arranged pattern.
Step 3: Add the Flower Pistils
Use BR2 to dot the center of each flower, giving them a realistic and retro-inspired pistil. This will add dimension and contrast to your design.
Step 4: Draw the Leaves
Now, take GY3 and carefully draw the leaves. Place the leaves exactly on the pencil lines and between the flowers to maintain a structured, seamless pattern.
Your vintage flower pattern is now complete!
This coloring technique is perfect for creating bold, psychedelic flower designs that capture the essence of retro aesthetics.
